Last one was the challenge! Left big toe doesn't want to stay down when other toes go up! Finally succeeded by starting from tightening the arch and raising the outside of the foot, then toes fly high and big toe , reluctantly, stays down! Wow! I wasn't aware of this disparity between feet. Yes, barefoot shoes are super helpful

Hi Tom, back again. Should my foot arch collapse while working on my ankle flexibility? I'm finding that both my broken ankle and my good ankle collapse. The broken one is a lot less flexible, but the good anklets foot arch collapses completely to get all that extra mobility. Thoughts?
@TomMorrison Жыл бұрын
Yes it will do, wouldn’t stop you from working on things but you should hopefully see a little improvement each month as you work on it! 😄

The 5 min beginner videos are a great way to prepare the body and learn proper technique. Ideally would make a full set that works progressively through the whole body that ultimately could make a circuit when done together. Then a beginner II, medium I, ... I'm returning after a long break from running through injury. Flexibility and stamina much degraded. Knee still weak and I also want to work full body not just running type exercises. Before I just went for a run then stretched using karate and Pilates stretches from years back. Have done neither for years until recently and difference is chalk and cheese.

Great - except at the moment no way can I move my big toes independently of the others, or vice versa! Even helping with fingers, the supposedly 'still' toes are writhing like gerbils trapped in a sack, under the fingers... 😅
@TomMorrison Жыл бұрын
Haha one to work on daily for a while then for sure!!!
@staceydowling7993 Жыл бұрын
Lol. Love the gerbil description. I was the same at first. I had to use one foot to hold down my big toe as my hands weren’t strong enough lol. Keep with it - one day it just clicked for me and I could isolate the toes. It’s made a big difference in my knee and foot pain.
