Thanks man. The go fund is a great example of what the community can do when they come together. I think with rollerblading being quite a small industry, thats just the way things need to happen sometimes. I'm really glad people backed the idea and made a difference.

Exactly- it's not (all) about the money (btw yo can be REALLY proud of yourself mate!): It's heartwarming to see how the community is supporting each other. Sometimes it feels more like a "Family" and if you are at parks/spots you see bladers support and push each other, -instead of looking down on beginners, calling people poser/losers etc. this is what bothers me the most when i switch from skates to my board; The atmosphere is A LOT different.

While I voted for Talbott, I’m surprised Dalnas didn’t make it thru to finals, if only because he skated his dick off at comps throughout the US and beyond. If this was the olden days when there was a circuit of 4 or 5 IMYTAs that held greater importance in skate culture, maybe he’d have done better in this voting, who knows🤷

It’s interesting what people put value in. Jeff has been a phenomenal skater for ages and had a great year. I wonder if he’d entered the bigger European comps like FISE, NL and Winterclash would he have got more attention?

@@TomMoyseprobably yes. Another consideration is steadily releasing solid clips in portrait mode on IG, versus more refined sections on KZbin. He is putting content directly onto the platform where most skaters get their fix of skate stuff, but visually it probably doesn’t hit the same as something filmed by a Jonas Hanssons (sp?) or Ivan Narez or JP, for instance. A hell of a year, at any rate.
