Utter genius and loved by all Brits. People would not even dare go out on a Friday night if he was on TV. He also did Vegas for a bit but was booked out for 2 years in the UK so carried on back home. He certainly lifted people spirits post war and beyond. Sorely missed.

you know what it is with Tommy Cooper, it is so simple what he does, no one ever came up with it, i mean what is it that he actual does?, bad magic tricks?, but it is so funny and clever, it is really Art. anyone else on stage doing this exact same thing would not be funny!. it is brilliant in its simplicity, and only Tommy could do it.

I am convinced that the moment starting at 2:55 was a genuine mistake in the show. When the two legs come off, the pair of lady's legs were meant to come down at that moment, however when they didn't Tommy went back stage and, as shown in the clip, began having a go at someone backstage. I've never seen the full version of this part and it is interesting to show Tommy managed to convince the audience that it is part of the act, however the way he throws it down and says "it's a bit late now, isn't it?!" seems to me that he was really pissed off at that moments that the gag went wrong.
