I don’t blame him, and I don’t think it has anything to do with his confidence. Anything can happen in a fight. Even if, for arguments sake, Tommy has a 98% chance of winning, there’s a small chance he gets KOed, so why risk it? I’ve seen fighters, favored at -800 and dominating an entire fight make a silly mistake and lose. Anything can happen.

I was randomly confronted from behind by a guy, I turn around takes me a minute to realise who it is and immediately went into go mode as I realised who it was, a dude I had bad history with. Luckily the dude couldn't figure out it was me, he knew he recognised me but couldn't figure it out and asked me my name. I say nothing, just stare at him. My grandmother goes forward and gives him my name. My head, just like Tommy's spun back and I was so pissed. I know exactly how Tommy feels, family when you're a grown man. Don't speak for us. Anyone who's trained in boxing gyms knows Tommy is levels above Jake. He spars heavyweights, has more amateur experience and won the nationals twice. Not only does he move so much better traditionally than Jake, he'll be able land combinations.
