ENERGY! First heard this live....maybe Victoria Park Anti Nazi Gig or perhaps TV.No videos or internet back then.We used to hear them live before they were released.....blew my mind! Safe European Home too.The new songs were sprung into the live sets and as you can imagine, shivers and shakes when thinking about future classics to come. Hand on heart.......you are PUNK!! NAILED.

Mick's guitar playing is magic! I still can't seem to figure out how he played certain songs, solos and the sounds he was able to get. To me, his style and guitar playing is essential learning for any rock guitarist worth a damn. These metal kids just don't get it. They need to learn the Chuck Berry, and get some roots. I saw the light as a teenager thankfully and it's made all the difference in my life and my guitar playing.

Unfortunately no as I didn't get turned on and tuned in to the only band that still matters until 87' when I was 17. However, I did go to three Mescaleros shows and got to see my #1 hero Strummer, so I've got that going for me ; )

Same thing with me my friend! I'm left handed, play right handed and do the left leg pump as well naturally. Us lefties are cooler than righties. Haha! Not sure if you knew this but Strummer was left handed but played guitar right handed as we do.

Ahh, this is the song that really confirmed the clash as the greatest rock'n'roll band to me. It's a shame that Give Em Enough Rope doesn't get the credit it deserves. Side 1 (back in the days of vinyl) is just rock nirvana. Another great cover mate, keep them coming :-)
