If we are looking at sixteenth notes snare hits should be 1, the ah of 2 for the first measure. In the next measure it’s 1, the ah of 2, and he adds a beat on 4. In the fast version he plays 1, the ah of 2, 4 for first measure then 1, the ah of 2, 3, 4 for the second measure. He doesn’t really explain this(he just does it and expects the viewer to get it bc he’s counting out loud). For a better teacher look up Stephen Taylor on KZbin.
