I can't help but shed a few tears. This was my late wife's alltime favorite performer and fav song as well. In our 40 years together anytime this song came on she would be up dancing and twirling, very sexy. Thank you so much for this footage, still sounding good after all these years. Love you forever Chrissy RIP...

I wanted to go so bad but had no $$ for a ticket. I hope to see the incomparable Tommy James one day before he does retire. Thanks for sharing.

Love how Tommy restarted the song after his flub. Many artists would just hope you didn’t notice.

👍 That's really how it's supposed to be done. If somebody flubs (doesn't matter who), you restart the song, especially at the beginning. Zappa was famous for this. Only time he wouldn't restart was if they were having so much fun laughing in the middle of the song, then you were kind of expected to flub a bit. I haven't really been to that many concerts in my life, but I was at a concert in the now defunct Syria Mosque in Pittsburgh during the Broadway the Hard Way tour in 1988 (lousy album, but it was a great 12-piece ensemble and tour) and Scott Thunes, the otherwise immaculate bass player, was laughing so hard during one song he couldn't even play. There was plenty of cover in that band to make up for a few bars of missing bass. I would love to see Tommy James perform anywhere. Also would love to see Edgar Winter. And most of all, Ray Davies. I didn't listen to very much of the Kinks growing up because the only songs they ever played on the radio were the same old burnt-out songs You Really Got Me & All Day and All of the Night. But now that I'm older and have listened to their full catalogue, they're one of my favorite bands to listen to. I regularly stream the Kinks, as well as Tommy James and the Shondells.

Bidenflation sure has kicked in! Actually, I thought 45s were around 75 cents in the early 1970s, but maybe that was when they were on sale
