This is not only a Christmas song; this is THE Christmas song. I sing in a choir, and this is one of my favourite Christmas carols. Tommy did a magnificent job on this one, my favourite from his Christmas calendar yet. He sounds AMAZING in opera mode. I would love to hear him sing a full opera aria

Marina is right. I have been singing that song in various languages in various choirs. It is the Christmas song for the birth of Baby Jesus. What Tommy does with it is phenomenal. I have no other word to describe it. The mixture of classical and rock. Who else co7ld pull that off. Absolutely brilliant 👏 👌 😀

This is most definitely a Christmas song and you might hear it in churches all over Europe during the holidays. The original is French and called 'Les Anges dans nos campagnes' which tranlates to 'The angels in our fields'. In German, my native language, I heard at least three different versions of the lyrics but there have to be more...

"Auld Lang Syne" is a fantastic song, and I must agree with you on this: *Tommy-* _please_ make a "your version" of this pearl (gem)! We will happily listen to that with a great smile on our faces! While our hearts pump. 😍 @Play Again - What shall I say? You're so good I find no words for it!

🥰 This is our Tommy...never disappoints. Symphonic metal Christmas opera, well, I'm not really surprised because his voice has the capacity. 🤩 But it's just amazing! I agree with Auld Lang Syne, he should do it in his own style. I can already hear the guitar... with a touch of Gary Moore sound 👌(which we can hear in several of his covers). Did you see yesterday's video? Harry Potter theme really fit. The Icehotel is located here in the north 🇸🇪. ✨❄️

It’s curious how you’ve heard this song outside of the Christmas season. I have only ever heard it during Christmas. I’ve NEVER heard it anywhere else. 🤷🏼‍♂️ but yea the lyrics suggest and point to the birth of Christ. Shepherds in the fields abiding the flocks by night, angels come and bring those tiding of great joy, singing praises to God on the most high. But Tommy does an INCREDIBLE job covering it! ❤

I believe the song you talk about at the end is "All I Want for Christmas Is You". As soon as Tommy posted about doing Christmas songs, that was the first one I though of. I think he has the ability to completely own that song and make it infinitely better.
