All those songs are written by Björn and Benny in the musicals Kristina från Duvemåla, Helen and Peter's songs and Chess, Tommy's song. They are the original singers of those songs in the musicals, since they were in the original productions of them

Peter did Phantom of the opera on Broadway and in London and was one of the 3 biggest stars coming back for the celebration performance in honor of Andrew Loyd Webber in 2011. He sang with Sarah Brightman. He has also played in Miss Saigon and The witches from Eastwick in London.

All produced by Björn & Benny from (AB)jörn(B)enny(A). They wrote, composed and scouted the artists for these the 2 musicals, and every other, of the 98 unique ABBA songs. This was a honoring & celebration to them. One of the 20-th Centuries most important musical engines. ABBA has achieved a wopping 48 hit singles!! They changed the (music)-world. I think that you will like this one! He is singing to Helene Sjöholm (She is sitting in front of him): "Newkid - Du måste finnas - Så mycket bättre (TV4)" .

Hi (Hej). Im Swedish, and in historyclasses in swedish schools, everyone learns about ”utvandrarna” (”the emigrants”) / ”Christina från Duvemåla”. Utvandrarna then became a musical, and its those songs that Peter and Helen sings i this video. Its about the jurney from Sweden to America, and their new life over there. In early 1800 (1900), after several life times in war, sweden became a weary poor country, and many swedes emigrated to america to get a better life (even in my family tree we know that relatives went over there). I do not have a history degree but everyone in Sweden is raised whit this from early age. / Rickard.

As a Swede I'm really touched that you get it. From s small language it's sometimes hard to reach other people with your unique expression, what you feel makes a difference in the world. Secondly: time brings so much depth to this. Maturity, memories. And soon they are gone., these composers these singers. Soon we are all gone. Life is best lived in moments. I live mine in Mexico, I'm a Swede married to a beautiful Mexican woman, I'm sitting in front of my altar listening to this, waiting for my candles to burn down, it's for a two months old Mexican warrior who was presented to the tree of life in a Sun dance today, he got all quite and serious when he heard the drums, so his mother says, life is amazing, we are all intertwined I loved your reaction.

Tommy has had quite a few problems with his health for a couple of years, he had covid 19 and had to have heart surgery in 2020, and that operation affected his voice and signing but he’s almost back to full range again, at least as much one can get in older days.

Those three artists are the original artist from Abba Björn and Benny Musicals, The first one is a very old Tommy Körberg, Everybody is Still Alive not that old😅 the second artists this Helen Sjöholm and the third one is Peter Jöback. They are probably top 10 Musical artist in the world all of those free today Living

Tommy hade been sick a long time before this. Heart problems and covid. So he was a bit fraile. But he did it ❤ Not one dry eye in whole Sweden ❤

I think this was when he had been very ill. He almoust died.. thankfully he survived. I am going to a consert, his last tour, in august this summer.

Tommy's song is called "Anthem", it's from the musical Chess from 1986. 🙂"Guldet blev till sand" means "THe gold turned into sand". I can't listen to either of the songs without tearing up ...

Tommy Körberg did the original lead in Chess in London. I was lucky to see the musical there around 1986. It's one of the best musicals, probably in my top-3 (with Les Miserables and Phantom..).

She actually declined the role of Christina she didn't belived she could do it justice, Björn and Benny probably had her in mind before she was famus for the role, because she sings very belivable and truthfully in swedish, at last she accepted the role, and today noone understands how she ever doubted herself. Their might be a very few better swedish female singers but noone kand sing soo "naked" in swedish as she can.

I'm not sure they realised that these songs would become the highlights of their careers. But what a marriage made in Heaven - others have tried singing these songs, but - like with anything else that ABBA did - nobody really does it better. Not even close! However, Josh Groban's rendition of Anthem may actually be better - but surely, Tommy is doing a great job.

Peter Jöback is Super well known here in Sweden, and I'm surprised he's not more well known outside of it as well. He's an amazing talent. I guess you could kinda call Peter Jöback the Michael Bublé of Sweden?
