The comment to Zappa - to much bullshit - has noting to do with Zappa himself. It was the basplayer in Zappas band that was in contact with Pekka by mail because he was afraid to lose his job in Zappas band to Pekka. The did write back and forth and in the end Pekka got tired to explain to the bassplayer that Zappa had only invited him to a project.

Not that he couldn't play anything Frank did but Pekka was a serious as hell player & not that Frank wasn't but he always had something going on that was funny until he decided to cut loose & play plus Frank did do shows where he just came out & played . Pekka was pure playing like Jukka Tolonen which i'm sure was why he said no. Still it's one hell of compliment when one the worlds best calls and asks you to play & i think it's great Frank did recognize him as a great Bass player which he sure was.
