Today, I'll be delivering a brief history and overview of Tommy Kaira, a brand known elevating Japanese & German cars with their unique aero and punchy tunes! Let me know if this is your favorite brand or if you want me to cover another brand!

8:32 - I have owned for 8+ years now, a 1997 Tommy kaira M20b wagon, serial #TK0747. 1 of just 105 M20b produced between 1993 and 2000. It is probably the rarest GF8 of all time. :) I have spent a lot of time and money restoring the car to its absolute best possible condition, and it is an amazing car indeed. My 911 and my 928 collect dust in the garage, while the little M20b is daily driven. TK was registered as a car manufacturer in their own right, and they had permission from Nissan and Subaru (who they worked with closely) to obtain cars with unique specs, and then to re-manufacture them, and sell them under their own name - just like RUFF and AMG for Porsche and Mercedes. They could order special stuff, too. For example, the metal sunroof in mine was not an option in the GF8 of the day, and neither was "roof rail delete". Tommy kaira were so famous, that when they announced their new car, the M20b would be based on the WRX, this announced to the world that Subaru had finally arrived on the world performance car stage. The performance car world had mostly yawned when Subaru announced the WRX earlier that year.

Great video! Loved the history part. I never knew they worked with european cars. Do you plan to make more videos like these? Maybe for Tom's, Mine's or TRD?

Yes, those are all in the works, but for now. Things are slow because I am dealing with military business.

@@DaMotoristX TK had alot of models. I have the TK GTR 33 and 34, I have the prototype M13C cube and my other one I have you didnt mention was the TK P-tune based on Subaru pleo

@@celm74 Ahh, I'm aware of that one too if it's based of the Pleo RS. In fact, I have an image of the brochure with one in almost a world rally blue, and some yellow TK logo and wheels. The unfortunate thing is, I couldn't find enough specs for it, nor any good HD pictures of one either. If I don't have either, then I can't include it in the gallery. Just like I couldn't include much of the earlier TKs or other trims of the variants I already have listed up here either.

Also on the subject of the Matiz, i belive it was actually a i3 and not an i4 after viewing some of the advertising material there is a photo of a 3cyl engine block.

I better pronunciation will get featured in an episode of Hartge. On the note of the Matiz, the highest trim had the I4 and I read somewhere that's what TK sourced. However, if you have the article, or link to the brochure, I'd love to see it again. I could have misread.
