Best rendition I've ever seen of that song. These two would lighten up evrywhere they showed. Phil, later, with Kevin Borich, had a really good show when they'd go up to Cairns, blowing in medium and smaller rooms. Two seasoned vets, when the environment was completly different and everything was live hands down. There were many more players who could really play and would run rings around a lot of guys now. Rock and roll was and is about happiness. the songs were melodic and uplifting, and didn't bitch about about life. It was get up and go...Salute

Just in case anybody was wondering...TE knows his fretboard as well as, if not better than, any guitarist alive today....i nearly included the dead. I may even adjust my comment after a second listen. Brilliant.

Rock'n'roll's greatest anthem given full-blooded respect here. However, it makes you realise that the original is, arguably, the greatest 2 minutes 38 seconds of rock'n'roll ever recorded.....

5*'s + to our infinity. Fantabulous rendition of this oldie-but goode. OH YEH! I am ready now to go off line. I have had my musical Fix. I am still flying high from this one. 'LOVED' this one growing up and it never grows old. Magnificent. Love you Tommy Emmanuel and band so in Unity. What a gift to share with my friends this Valentine's Day.

Tommy rrefers to this as "Practicing"!!!. No dumb s*** scales. I will take his precise, incredibly musical practicing to almost any guitarist you can name.

@cocolossal692 жыл бұрын
@@PaulyGee295 Tommy and Phil began playing at pretty much the same time. They learned together by working out how to play songs they heard on the radio. Since the only person giving them any kind of lessons when they were kids was their Mum, it'd be more accurate to say they taught each other after getting the basics from her. I also read where they challenged each other to see who could work out a song quickest.
