Tonewood Reserve All Solid Dreadnought (Rosewood)
Select Solid Adirondack Spruce Top
Select Solid Rosewood Back & Sides
Rosewood Fretboard
Herringbone Purfling, Classic Rosette
Part of our Tonewood Reserve Series, the Recording King RD-328 evokes classic dreadnought style, sound & volume thanks to hand-selected tonewoods and vintage styling.
The foundation of the 328’s tone comes from select solid Adirondack spruce tops. Adirondack delivers a stiff, loud, lightweight top with powerful fundamental tone and excellent projection.
Combine the hand-picked Adirondack tops with select solid Rosewood back and sides, and you have the all-solid basics for guitars that have powered genres like bluegrass and country for decades.
We finish the 328 with classy, low-key fretboard dots on the rosewood fretboard, and a vintage-style tortoise pickguard to protect the top. The 328’s classic rosette design and herringbone body purfling complete the traditional look.
For players that need the power and volume that only a dreadnought can provide and still want the warmth and vibrance that comes with premium tonewoods, the RD-328 offers the best of both worlds at a fraction of the price of a vintage instrument.

I will never be able to afford to own a Martin so I picked up my RD-328 over a year ago and absolutely love it. All solid wood too. The Adirondack spruce top on those guitars were sitting in the warehouse drying out for over 30 years before they decided to use them up, once Recording King went back into making guitars again. So the tops are actually very old. I too made several videos on mine and can highly recommend them.

Got the 318 and 328 both are amazing. They come damn close to higher end Martins. It took me few days to get used to the V neck but now I love it. The 328 has bit less of V or is thinner it is a Bluegrass machine. The 318 is very rich, balanced and rings like a bell.

They are well worth their money for the sound and tone, cant wait to see what they are like with more age on them.

Bought the 318 about 3 weeks ago. Thought I was really going to be unhappy with the V Neck but I like it better that my 2 other low profile acoustics.

Nice take! What do you think? This or the Cort Gold D8? Let's say the price would be the same... Which one sounds abd feels better?

I like them both. It would be hard to pick between them...lol. They both have a different feel and sound. Its just preference really. Id say if you want a V style neck go with the RD-328 if you want a standard neck go with the Cort. You can't go wrong with either. They both sound great!

@@musictomyears6169 Thanks! I was thinking maybe the Adirondack top on the RD would make a big difference...

Would rather buy the Cort gold or this guitar?

They are both great, its preference really. Its what sound you want and the style of music you play. The Recording King has a V neck and the Cort don't. Some people love a V neck some people hate a V. So its best to play them and see what you like. We also have Furch guitars here at the store that are awesome from $1000 and up. It you have any questions call us here at the store. We can ship you any model you want.
