A lot of sentiment and feeling in this version. More so than other versions I think. A real nice rendition of this classic. I suppose it shows that Tommy Steele never fails in his talent.

He doesn't look a day over 32! This is a beautiful rendition of this old song... so stirring... only as Tommy Steele can do it! If you like this, you'll be sure to enjoy 'Applause Applause'. We NEED more of Tommy Steele!!

Woke up this morning with the song “Thank you very much” on my mind....later Tommy Steele came to mind, having no idea he sang that song in Scrooge....I saw him in a few movies when I was a child and had no idea of his vast talent and career! Praying for him and his family today. :)

All I need is just to hear Tommy Steele's name and it cheers me right up! I just love to see all these videos of himself. I just wish that I could have seen him in person. I live in the states and will never get that chance. But I have movies CDs and records of his. I don't know how I got so lucky to get any of those. I just got his two album set on CDs and I just by love them too!

Over the years there have been many versions of this classic song. But none of them came close to being as good as the original Simon & Garfunkel recording. None of them, that is, except for this one. I've been a fan of Tommy's since the 1960's, but I can honestly say that even if hadn't, I would still consider this a great performance. Thanks for posting!!

He's my all time favourite entertainer for fifty years, maybe more There's not one song, telly or film role I can find fault with. He's acted and sung in Gilbert and Sullivan's Yeomen of the Guard and brilliantly cast he was too; in turn funny, musical (of course) and tragic. It takes a truly talented performer to do all that. And he's as easy on the eye as on the ears. Got no problem with that.

I've recently discovered many KZbin videos featuring Tommy Steele; I knew about his start as a rock singer, and how he became a musical film star, but never knew he also plays piano and sang this song! He is an amazing talent!

Impressive, love Tommy, and love Paul Simon, but they're different stylists. Worried Tommy might be embarrassing trying to adapt this classic. But his soft, understated approach, even with full orchestra and 70s chorus, and strong finish worked perfectly. A great result, through two incredible talents!

is so great to hear him sing again. He was one of my brothers and my favourite singers back in the 50's and 60's and I never thought to check youtube when I got my Tablet. (my musician son told me about it and installed the App for me) so cool to hear all the songs again
