Okay, all. So ive basically been forced to remove Tommy hate comments because it was pissing me off. So, heres my response if youre about to comment something hateful: 1: “Hes not the spaceman!!!” Yes he is. He wore the makeup. He went on stage. He played guitar for KISS. He was there when no one else was. 2: “Hes not good at guitar” Okay? And thats your opinion. You can have your opinion all you want. But being rude about it isnt going to help. I think hes a good guitarist, so thats what matters here, considering this is MY video. 3: “Ace Frehley copycat!” Look, i know Ace Frehley is your god almighty or whatever, im here to say that idgaf. Paul and Gene preferred the original makeup designs, as its how KISS started. Ace and Peter sold their makeup designs WILLINGLY,so clearly, they didnt care as much as the fans do. Look, let me put it this way. Ace quit. What were they supposed to do? Not replace him? You can prefer Ace or Vinnie or Bruce or Mark all you want, i dont care. But this video isnt about them. If youre here to spread meaningless hate, go somewhere else. This video is dedicated to Tommy Thayer, and i made it because he doesnt get as much love as he deserves. 4: “Black N Blue was a low quality band, and Tommy Thayer came and ruined KISS” Ummm okay? I like Black N Blue, but if you dont, thats your opinion, and in the end, I dont care one ding diggity darn BIT about your opinion. Tommy Thayer did nothing wrong. Go cry about it. I dont care if you dislike Tommy, I dont care if you dislike Black N Blue or KISS, i dont care if you prefer any other guitarist. But keep your opinions in your head. Didnt yall ever go to 1st grade? If you dont have anything nice to say, dont say anything at all. Its that easy. Damn, some of yall are horrible. Not just to me or Tommy Thayer, but to each other. Be nicer. Were all here because we like KISS, right? Talk about that. And to think, some of you are GROWN ADULTS talking shit in the comments of a 14 year olds video. Theres a difference between disagreement and hatefulness. Stop being so shitty to one another. Grow up.

I noticed you said Tommy is a "good" guitarist...NOT great like Ace Frehley.. This is a public open forum... You put up the video you can expect to see good & bad comments ...You get out of 1st grade thinking you will ONLY see positive comments...what a dill.... Tommy always seems so genuine, down to earth, and just overall positive. he understands he's not what made kiss huge, and thats why all the hate he gets is unwarranted. it would be different if he was arrogant, and tried to act like he's one of the main factors. he doesn't have a massive ego, so I think he fits in perfect. he always seems to want what's best for the band and the fans. one of my favorites

Love this guy!! ❤️ I'm so proud to have met him in Munich this year to sign my (his) white Les Paul guitar. Told him "Tommy, you're my childhood hero!" - I received the sweetest “Aww, thank you!” that I have ever heard. 2 weeks later at the concert in Cologne he waved at me... God bless this man

It really doesn't matter what people think about Tommy. It's my firm belief that Kiss wouldn't have made it out of the nineties without him. I understand people's feelings about Tommy and Eric wearing Ace and Peter's makeup but he genuinely earned his spot. He made Herculean efforts to get things done for Kiss, whether it was the kisstory book or helping Ace and Peter prepare for the reunion. Tommy kicks ass and deserves our gratitude.

Tommy grew up a KISS fan. he was in a KISS tribute band. he always seemed like he was genuinely happy to be in the band, and never seems overly full of himself. he always just seemed happy to be there and i think hes genuinely a good guitarist. so i appreciate your opinion a lot, i think he gets a lot of hate for seemingly no reason.

Man, this takes me back to ninth grade, when I was obsessing over this man. Glad to see someone else appreciating him like I do! He is so sweet and humble. i agree with your perspective to an extent. i wouldnt say he was “used”, i think that is a very strong word. but i would agree he probably didnt have much creative freedom. i dont think the issue for me is the persona, i dont mind tommy as the spaceman, the issue for me is probably how he was told to play just like ace,.. i dont blame paul or gene completely for this, i think i understand why they did what they did bc they wanted it to feel like nostalgic original KISS and i dont think theyre wrong for that. but i do think they could have gone about it in a different way. HOWEVER, i dont think that means i cant post a funny video appreciating tommy thayer for everything hes done

@@user-rc1qq9pn7k even if he did tell gene & paul, they wanted him to use the makeup and he had to. i wouldnt blame tommy at all, he was just doing his job. i also never knew he sung Shock Me? but even then its just a song so i dont think it matters. in the end, KISS wouldnt have made it to 2023 without tommy and theres no denying that. you pointing out the same issue 100 others have pointed out here isnt helpful as i know what im doing as a KISS fan and i still think tommy needs more appreciation
