A little over a year after I caught the last one, I finally got another K5HLB, this time on the Chilli and at night! I first heard this when it was going through Verona, and from that distance, it was one of the most ominous and awesome sounds I've ever heard. This is the king of Nathan airhorns in my books. Now if only Nathan would realize this and start making their K5HLs with 3Bs instead of #3s.
Oddly enough, even though this is the 2nd K5HLB (newer one) I've heard from BNSF, and I've filmed the other 2 trailing before, I have yet to hear any of their K5HLAs (6932, 6935 and 6939). I've seen 6939, but trailing and I have not seen 6932 or 6935 yet, even though they're 5 years old now. Very odd.
