Maybe he was trying to lighten the mood, but he obviously didn’t think about it and was being extremely disrespectful. He then continued on to joke about how all the money from the event should go to him, despite the fact it was for CANCER so he clearly didn’t learn his lesson. I agree that people shouldn’t make such a big deal about it and focus on the better parts of the event, but it’s also good to point out when somebody did something wrong. The wrong was him blowing an airhorn during a speech. I don’t understand how people think that’s okay. This also isn’t George’s first time doing stuff like this.
