Who are SOEN? Soen - River REACTION!

Soen deserves more attention. They are top notch artists. Antagonist is a must listen and the lyric video for it is a must watch. They also did an awesome cover of Slipknots Snuff.

Really glad they made the poll and channel. Soen is a "super group" meaning all members are already known from other projects, most notably the drummer was in Opeth. Quite a simple song yes, my other offerings to the channel were pretty damn progressive or had a lot going on so I really wanted to share a more emotional track to keep you on your toes 🤣 A lot of their first albums had a tool vibe, but by this time they really find their own sound. Damn, but that was a really tasty guitar solo! Think I've only heard just a few songs from the very first Soen album. Definitely going to have to check out more.

Soen are one of my fave bands. Absolutely fantastic live. Great musicians and people. Very emotive at times but just brilliant music 🤘 you really should check out more. ‘Antagonist’ from the last studio album would be a good one or ‘Trials’ from the live in the studio album released last year called Atlantis. More Soen in your life you must. Hmm 😜

@@ThomasJ_Music They’re based in Sweden and comprise of founding members - Martin Lopez (ex Opeth - their best era) on drums. Joel Ekelof on vocals. Also featuring Multi instrumentalist and master of jazz sax Lars Ahlund on guitars and keys, Ukrainian bass player Zlatoyer and Canadian guitar player Cody Ford. Such a great band.
