You could technically call Indonesia a muslim country, but that's not right, we're a muslim majority country, Indonesia's goverment is secular. Maybe the mercenary stuff could work if your nation is reduced to 1 region with all building slots unlockable when you are paid. Al the rest off your nation then gets broken up into AI nations which are free for all (limiting somehow giveaway), where one region becomes your competition, which "mirrors" you on opponent side. So you need to use your brain to make things work..

If youre losing to a merc company and its not democratic (or even if it is and they have a fascist neighbor e.g. argentena or something.) Just pay their neighbor a bunch of civs to invade them. @@ewancarey5847 True. All I'm saying is that there might be some mechanics be put in place to limit their power and impact.. for example limit contracts in time. Reduce your country size, etc. I remember that game where a unified Scandinavia became a merc, which is absolutely stupid. Imagine Russia declaring merc, that would be dumb. There could even be some kind off required "path" in order to be able to declare for the bigger countries (while impossible for the biggest). For example if the Spanish civil war takes over 2 years or something, they can declare merc from one region or something..

Since it's MP, all of the calculations are made on the host's PC or a whole server, so he only has to have stable connection there. However, it's best you get a good CPU, since game's run on maths that CPU is responsible for.
