Same! With Tommy, it's not just the way he creates music, but how he facilitates its texture and employs techniques that make transitions, fades, buildups, and such feel like a well-done job. I wouldn't want to offend him, but I'd say you've already mastered this part beautifully, in my humble opinion.

I don't know why, but the twinkling sound bits in the song makes me think of a carnival. One where the protagonist is wandering around in wonder and curiosity while not being aware she may or may not be in danger...

The sunny streets of Cuba’s bright capital. A town, nay, a remnant of Spanish colonialism, stands still. The streets are colorful-and so are the people, with all sorts of heritage. The buildings are light blue, yellow, red, truly a sight of the Caribbean. And as the orange sky with blue clouds loom, the crowded streets diverge. Old cars are driven around the mainly empty streets. Havana, Havana, one of Cuba.

Just read your description and I am right there with you, my guy. The song is excellent. In fact, I've heard enough good remixes and reimaginings that I think it's safe to say this is one of those songs like "Sweet Dreams" and "Seven Nation Army" that will thrive on its versatility; as such a well composed song.

Hey tommy, I liked the cover, and while you got the melody right, for some reason I felt like the cover was off a bit. This is a song that is, for me, meant to be extremely sexy, and while your cover was beautiful, it lacked that latino spice that makes it so sensual. Still, it was an amazing job, maybe Im just too used to the original version as I am latino.

At some times I wish i could see the reaction of the orchestra he performs with on the songs he picks out for them; Im might not be incredibly familiar with Orchestras, but I am fairly certain that such covers arent the most classic works an orchestra performs. Either way, to end this propably confusing comment; This is some great work and I really like your style, it sounds really good, but also please pass some praise to the orchestra too, you are all doing an amazing job.

Great job. Sadly woodwinds are got drowned in the mass of other instruments. I know it usually in tutti section but dolce oboe solo will sound great I believe)) I don't know if you are into some heavier music. I recommend you to check the song "The Divine Falsehood" by Job for a cowboy. It is not some metal mess with super fast riffs which is simply impossible to implement with samples. It really has melodic material to work with to create an Epic Orchestral Cover. I have a plan to do it by myself but I'd love to see version a lot.
@7F0X74 жыл бұрын
Horns and strings will inevitably bully the wood winds unless a mature conductor keep them in line unfortunately...
