I played previous season in GI1 and the only problem I had, the have become torn on the inner side of textile. But GI2 has fix of this by soldering this part of shoe from midsole to laces holes. So IMHO GI2 is very good choice for light and young players

Early gang once again. Sad that the comfort went down. I'm a big guy so foot fatigue is a major turn off for me.

I've been playing on these for around a month now, and the traction is reliable, but I had the exact same problems you did. It felt like my toes were really unstable in the toebox area. They added all the space in the wrong areas.

I wore these for the second time last night just for coaching a practice for about 4 hours. My feet were killing me. What is going on with Nike these days? I wear a lot of Way of Wade sneakers lately and there is NO comparison. I also have the new Nike Metcons and I've worn about 9 times now and they stll aren't broken in yet. Li-Ning is killing it with their shoes in the past few years.

great review, do you know if the material rips off from the sides or has that been fixed? Also i have the Giannis immortality 1 and they broke from the bottom and it seems like the bottom/sole hasnt changed a bit. Thanks

Thank you! 🙏 Tbh I don’t think the material has improved at all. I also didn’t use my 1st Immortality’s too much to a point where it started to break apart so might not give you the best comparison here. Overall I just don’t think the 2 is worth getting 😔

Hey, I’d recommend maybe wait for a bit and get the Luka 1s when they become widely available? Amazing traction and great for shifty players. Otherwise the PG 6 and KD 15 are good too, just keep in mind that the KD 15 is a very narrow fit so not good if you’re a wide footer.

I bought the IM2 for wide feet comfort. I followed your wide shoe recommendations. I went up a .5 size and I do find the mid foot area tight. I keep mid foot loose while tightening my upper w/ ankle braces + plantar fasciitis sleeve. My feet get tired and sore and I usually have to take mini breaks to "wake" my feet up by doing mini stretches. Good budget shoe, nonetheless.

Yeah I have the same experience as you often with soreness in general. And these are more of a narrower fit, so going half size up was probably the right choice for wide footers 😃

Immortality 2 is nice for fastbreak and low post playing style and way comfortable footwear.... I think that shoes doesn't fit your personality... Honestly do not generlize and discourage other buyers. After all we are all free to 4:34 choose what type of shoes that best fits our comfort. #encourage

Bro i you could review some li-ning or wade shoes. I got the li-ning speed 8 premium for almost 5 months now. I its super bro, from materials to performance. Compare to shoes that i have like, pg 3, zoom separate, kobe ad, this shoes bro is fire.

So I just got these in today from Nike I ordered online and its all great but 1 big problem… The shoes squeak and it’s coming from the tongue of the shoe and I re adjusted laces and tied them tightly which made it slightly better but they still squeak, nobody else’s ive seen squeak and idk what to do…

Hey, I’d say that the Air Impact 3 is better just cause the Giannis Immortality 2 is quite an uncomfortable fit, got worse than the 1st Immortality from my experience.

@@alienis000 Quality is not so good, the materials feel pretty cheap to me. I’m not sure about going up a full size, cause then it might be too big for you. No worries! Glad I can help a bit. But yeah this shoe to me was not a good one, especially compared to its first version, however if you really like the look and can find your size go for it.

@@TommyLiu4 Can't agrre to this. Tried all 3, played with precision 6 and im2. Sent the prec6 back since i didn't like the lacing. The prec5 was way better! The prec6 has this odd "quick lacing" pieces which will work on the lacing and you get loose fit over time on the midfoot area. Here, the im2 is way better. Prec6 has better heel lock. But i'm not the best reference since i play with pretty hefty orthotics due to arthrosis on both big toes. In tehory, the impact 4 should be the best for me, but i simply avoid every air max on basketball since my active time during the 90s. They are simply to unstable - and the impact 4 is also much heavier and not so nimble than im and prec. Finally i stayed with the im2. Sized up as usal for my orthotics they perform well. We will se how they perform after some months, esp. the mesh material. Foot soreness is no factor for me since my orthotics do the job here ;-)
