I would argue that a 24-105 f4 is the best to start out with (if you are unsure what photography you want to do). Then you can decide more zoom or do you prefer more wide angle.

I highly recommend the 85 1.2. It creates shots that look like they are out of a dream, that you can't make with any other lens. Just be aware the 85 1.2 is a little bit of a "wild stallion lens" but when you have it figured out, its amazing

Cool run through. I’ve got a similar line up. Have swapped over to the rf 70-200mm. Absolutely love its new dinky size. And it’s lighter which helps balance out the bags weight from the hefty 28-70mm. Thanks for all the great work and advice.

Even though I don’t shoot weddings it was good to see what you use. That bag looks nice.

Other than the RF 28-70 f/2.0 L , we are shooting the same gear :). Holy Hannah that is an expensive lens!

Investing in a closed system like Canon - insane kens pricing and their arrogant and aggressive fight against 3rd party lens manufacturers - would be a nightmare for me...

Why? You can see you only need 2 lenses to shoot weddings. Also, no one else makes 28-70MM F2. If you want to use 3rd party lens you can do that via an adapter. The market is flooded with cheap quality glass in EF mount.
