Hi Pete, great to hear from you. When I bought this Konrad Dressler over 3 years ago I gave it a cosmetic makeover and a service, I showed it on my channel in May 2021, and It hasnt been run untill now. For this video I just cleaned the wheels and it runs very well as you say for an old Loco. The coaches were in good condition they just needed glazing which I did. Very cool, Paul. I think I first heard of Dressler trains on your channel a while ago, but maybe elsewhere. I googled them and found what I could. Nice to see one running well and with a great set of cars to accompany it. The freight and shunter were nice, but the Dressler obviously is quite a story!

Hi Anthony, great to hear from you, I first showed this Loco in May 2021 after I had given it a cosmetic makeover and service. It has been in a drawer since, I decided to give it a run after a clean up and was suršprised how well it works. I believe these E10 Konrad Dresslers are quite rare now at least I dont see any for sale. The track where the Gondola wagons are stored was quite dirty and the loco was stalling, after a good track clean it worked ok. As you say the Dressler is quite a story. Hi Paul, a very entertaining video again. Great locomotives. I have watched with great interest on my computer screen, not on my phone this time, so I can also see the never-ending amount of interesting details on your layout. I wonder, the blue circle wagons at 7:53, are these the Dapol (ex-Airfix) kits? And at 8:59, is that a scooter with side span parked in the street? Hi Erik, The Konrad Dressler has not been run since May 2021, after a wheel clean it ran very well. Gaood to hear you watched the video on your laptop and could see more of my layouts details. Yes the Blue Circle Bulk tankers are Dapol with Ho wheels. The Scooter in the street with a sidecar is a Matchbox model, slightly over scale but is period correct for my layout. I was happy to see my magnet coupling/uncoupling system still works as the track was dirty and needed a good clean. There are a number of various magnetic systems for sale that seem to work very well. Minre is a bit tricky to install on the locos but works ok. Have a great week. Cheers, Paul.👍👍🙏

Hi Patrick, Sorry for the late reply, I am happy how it runs for an old Loco apparently these are quite rare now. I dont run Electric Locos with Pantographs as my layout was made for Steam and early Desels. I currently have it on Ebay for sale as I think it should go to a collector or someone who runs these. @@paulvozman842 My layout is also for steam and diesels, but I've got two classic Italian FS electric locomotives, so I'm thinking of adding at least the overhead poles without wires for the sake of partial realism. But my layout is just 80x160 cm , yours is much more extensive and beautiful!

HI Paul, I hadn't heard of Conrad Dressler models before. Yours is a very nice example though, it runs very well considering its age. I am not sure what my oldest loco would be, but I am thinking one of my Triangs or Flieschmann would be on the list. You can't beat Roco for performance though, that was as good a running performance as you could hope for. I will try and date some of my oldest locos and let you know what I come up with. Steven.

Hi Steven, I found this Konrad Dressler over 3 years ago and gave it a Cosmetic makover and service. It has a pressed tin chassis and a huge motor that ran quite well . I believe these are rare as I dont see them for sale. It ran very well for this video after just a wheel clean. After buying my first used Piko 218 Diesel around 7 years ago and later a few Roco Diesels I became hooked, they are very reliable and quiet smooth runners. Hi Al, I last featured this Konrad Dressler in May 2021 after a cosmetic makeover and service. Its been in a drawer ever since, I cleaned the wheels and it ran very well for this video. Maybe the oils have thickened up and quietened down things?. All the best, Paul.👍👍🙏
