Tommys Steamy Sundays Part 9

Today I want to show some of my 0-4-0 Locos and a new Fleischmann Steamer.

Hi Paul, another selection of nice locos. It's always interesting to see what you're running. Thank you for the kind comments on my grandson's latest video, and it's great to hear your granddaughter helped you finish your model. We've been having problems with the comments on our channel, I think it's sorted now, but it's not been showing comments as turned on, then there on ,then there off again. Yours wasn't showing until it popped up when I went on to YT studios to have another try at sorting it. I've replied but can now find no sign of your comment or indeed my reply 🙄 anyway. Hi James, I am very happy with the Fleischmann DB94 its a great looking and running Loco. I had problems making this video and uploading it but got there in the end. I hope to show my finished Ghost Ship mid week it looks very spooky. My eldest Grandaughter has patience and fitted the fiddly bits that I couldnt do so it was a great help. Have a great week. Hi Al, sorry for the late reply a few tech problems. I was lucky to find the Fleischmann 0-10-0 while in Germany and for a good price. It runs well and looks superb. I Like the quality of these H0 Locos and their reliability. Hoping to win a 4-10-2 this week and hopefully run it on Sundays Video. Cheers, Paul.

Hi Michael, I find the smaller Locos quite interesting like the Pugs that played a very important role in industry back in their day. It would be good to see if you make another level on your layout as a winter project. As the weather warms up so does my attic so I also spend more time outside. I need to test my Sub in my pool when the waters warm as I have modified the electronics again. I have just finished my Flying Dutchman Ghost Ship that was a winter project so hope to show it tomorrow. All the best, Paul.👍👍🙏

Hi Paul.When I was driving to work one day I saw a Dutch flower lorry,on the trailer was a brilliant picture of a steam ship and steam train and the words ‘The Flying Dutchman’.I’m talking of a 40 foot trailer too it looked great,we get a lot of flowers from Holland coming in to Harwich.

Hi Carl, I was very ill after returning from Germany in early April but luckily feeling a lot better so am able to get back in the attic and run some trains again. The Fleischman 94 is new old stock it just needed a wheel clean and lubrication to get it working smoothly. I am bidding on some Locos later today, one of them is a Diesel you have that made me want one. I will let you guess what Loco it is. All the best, Paul.👍👍🙏

Hi Pete, thanks so much for the kind comments, these little ones of mine dont get much running so it was good to see them performing so well. I have thought of getting a Terrier, they are great looking Locos. I have had to shim some parts of the track to level it up in places especially on some points as the 0-4-0 Locos tend to stall on them if not flat. All the best. Paul.👍👍🙏

Hi Paul, Good to see the steam series is back. I have yet to try a Mabuchi motor, I believe at one stage they were right up there in terms of quality. The Flieschmann 0 10 0 is a beauty mate, it runs very smoothly, the motor sounds in very good condition. I have yet to own a Flieschmann that didn't run perfectly. They are such a good manufacturer. Hi Steven, I have a few more Steamy Sundays to make and hopefully a few more Steamers to show if I win the bids. I believe Mabuchi are good quality motors and they make a great range of types. I am very happy with the Fleischman 0-10-0, the ringfield type motors are a bit noisy but as you saw its a very smooth runner and are very reliable. I rate these the same as Kleihnbann for quality Steam Locos. It would be good to see more of your German H0 Locos from your amazing collection. All the best, Paul. 👍👍🙏

@paulvozman842 I hope to get back into it soon. My layout area is a bit of a mess at the moment. I have just installed new shelves to give me more room to extend. It's been a bigger job then I thought, but I'm starting to get towards the end. Hopefully this time next week should see it through. Steven.

this is a truly amazing layout! love the little steamers and the tank cars. what era is it? 1940's, 1950's? love the wagons too :)

Hi Mystic, I made the layout based on the late 40s to late 60s and was supposed to be only Steam themed, over time I have added more Diesels but prefer to run Steamers. I have a large number of H0 Locos and rolling stock in my collection as well. Have a great week. Cheers, Paul.👍👍🙏
