Tomoe Gozen is viable in the early game in Rise of Kingdoms (RoK)

Early game starting civilization Japan, Markswoman with Kusunoki as secondary and Markswoman with only archer build. She has Archer speed, so use a archer/cavalry march, for speed. You will be surprised.

I think it is interesting to note that it is more likely you will max Tomoe before you max a second Epic commander. And even after you max that second Epic, you'll be developing a third Epic for a second attack pair and Tomoe can be the secondary to that. Every so often, check Epic commander/max Tomoe vs Epic commander/non-max Epic commander against the same level barbarian troop to find when your secondary Epic commander is good enough to replace Tomoe. I would wager that until you have 8 Epic commanders with enough skills, Tomoe can continue to be a useful secondary commander. If I ever decide to try a restart, I'll put this strategy to work. Of course, the same strategy could be used with Lancelot also and I'd be interested in a test of max Lance vs Tomoe as secondary, all else being equal. Instead of running two maxed Epics paired together, why not max Epic1/Tomoe and max Epic2/Lance, especially when Epic1 is probably Sun Tsu and Epic2 is probably Pelagius.

Can confirm, Tomoe and Markswoman are the counter to Atilla Takeda. Would like to see more testing with her and Centurion, but I feel it may be so OP it will break the game, so test at your own risk. Are you able to do a vid on this next please Chis?

My main take away from this isnt anything about investing in Tomoe. All this says to me is as a f2p you should not invest in archers. Because look at how badly the "counter" to infantry matched up.

In a vacuum, Tomoe might make sense. But when 3/5 blue commanders are your gatherers, your experience and sculptures are much better spent on them as they give you so much more value.

Hi I need advice. We're almost 60 days in our new kingdom and zone 3 just opened a few days. My alliance is the top 2 (used to be number 1) and it became clear that with our power, leadership and relations with other clans we're not going to get the Lost Kingdom temple. So I'm lost on the objective of this game if we're not getting the Lost Temple. Should I continue to play with this character or start a new account ? I am a low spender ($200 so far and don't intend to keep up this pace, made a mistake here and there so I did not do things most efficiently or spent most efficiently) but I'm lost on the objective of this game. Is Lost temple the end game and after we lost it the game is done and we should start another account ?

Belisarius would be my choice. Fastest march speed epic, peacekeeper for KvK honor point barb grind, great for cav. If you're going infantry, then I'd choose Eulji.

Leave 7k for the event. Its a free event if you are able to finish it. Since you are VIP 8, save your gems and spend as much to reach VIP 10 during More Than Gems event. Dont rush to vip 9 yet. At vip 10, youre gonna get 1 legendary heads a day which will be useful in the long run. For me right now, I have passed vip 10 and will be going for Vip 12 (2heads a day). If fate allows and you have more gems after this stage, rush to vip 14. Again, only spend your gems for vip points during more than gems event

The only problem i have with the event is that the city hall skin is reducing cavalry stats and im cavalry focused. I know thats just one thing im not forced to use it but i want to get the max value out of these as f2p

Finally my girl gets the spotlight i been waiting for im poor to play, and early on i invested in sun tzu for my infantry, belisarius for barbs and cav, and used tomoe as my archer for a long time until i had enough epics for hermann to take over for archer lead. she ended up being about 48 cause i had her with a few talents into utility ironically to make her an extra peacekeeper so i didnt have to use markswoman or spec my aethelfaed, caocao or 5/1/1/1 minamoto into the peacekeeping talents too deeply. the less you spend and focus in other unit type epics, she holds on stronger for the archery/attack trees.

We have f2p in my alliance and they are not lacking behind they fill the rallies and kill the farmers of enemy alliance f2p needs time to be useful in the alliance war because they don't spend money we don't kick f2p players even when a high power requests to join alliance we chat alot my advice is to find an alliance with whom you can chat and discuss this don't break anyone morale and makes the game fun
