It's so insane to me sometimes that vintage and rather older guitars still produce some really great tones and sounds. Cheers for this!

I just came from my local shop. I walked in and saw this and played it. Then the vultures had their eyes on it. I waited until a few people tried it and I plugged it back in and loved the volume and tone knobs. It's got a lot of bass to it and the fretboard is super dark. Went to the counter and checked out😊

My Musicmasters are both 24" which I like, but the simplicity is still there along with the great vintage Fender tone. My 1975 looks just like yours (red). These are hidden gems along with the Musicmaster bass amps (I'm surprised that you didn't pair up the guitar and amp). Thanks for featuring this great Fender.

I really loved this video because I have a 1964 Duo Sonic II! It was given to me by my grandfather and I absolutely adore playing it. Its also funny, because it is the only electric guitar I have so it truly is a “student model” for me. Your fluidity with chords is simply unmatched, really great video!

the earlier musicmasters were built using duo-sonic necks and bodies, when fender introduced the mustang they discontinued the duo-sonic and re-designed the musicmaster II using mustang bodies and necks. in the early 70's they dropped the "II" designation and called it the musicmaster again until it was discontinued in 1980.

Actually, the Duo-Sonic II was made from 1964 through 1969 so the Mustang production overlapped the DS II.

so the musicmaster is the same as the duo sonic, only it has one pickup? if you took a duo sonic, and took one pickup off, would it become a musicmaster? I love how the guitar sounds and looks, but there is NO WAY i get the money to buy an original one
