i think they’re super close. or used to be. if they worked together for 200 yrs and we see that he smiles at her freely (ep 10, that stroll along the trees), she’s prolly closer to him than anyone else. to think she’d head a team that saves suicides, which she knows he hates, that has to bite. since he doesnt remember her as his wife (wc is unfairly enuf, prolly part of GR’s punishment as a suicide case), he prolly cant explain his deep-seated hatred for suicides. he cant move on from the hatred, too. it’s prolly like an emotional block for him. he may already love her again too but he’ll need to remember her again before he can finally let go of the hate.
