George Martin wouldn’t have been happy at all if John came to him and insisted that this 23 minute version of Tomorrow Never Knows be the only track on the B side of Revolver in 1966. Brian Epstein would have a stroke and Paul, George and Ringo would have quit the Beatles.

Even at this speed the genius of the Beatles is apparent. Backwards, forwards, up side down, they still can beat the pants off of any other band, anywhere. They were multi-layered and like holy scripture boundless in interpretation.

This technique works with other songs. For example, look for Dolly Parton's 45 RPM "Jolene" played at 33 RPM. Or even better, I played all of Kanye West's oeuvre at 0 RPM and noticed a distinct improvement. In fact, Jesus wept.

It's been many years since I was blown away by anything musical. My mouth hung open during the entire song. Only YES's "Close to the Edge" could do that to me before. This and the altered album cover are a TRUE EXPERIENCE!!!

The irony of this song is that although it was the last track on Revolver which indicated a new direction was afoot, it was infact the first track recorded on the Revolver album. Would not have been out of place on the White album. This extended mix just reflects how so far ahead they were for the times😎👍

Imagine living during the 60's...,for decades recording studios had jazz, folk, light, etc..., conventional music w/traditional instruments..., then John Lennon & Friends with George Martin enter a studio in April 1966. There had never been anything created before even close to what these guys did for popular music!!

This is absolutely SIKK. I effing love it. Sounds like a Soundtrack to a short 23:50 B-Movie from 1980. I've been on a Beatles kick big time lately, especially now that "Get Back" was released and I also recently watched "Nowhere Boy" for the first time. I'm 61 years old and it feels like 1971 all over again and how I used to observe my cousins and others being obsessed with This Fab 4. Okay. I've seen 'The Beatles LOVE' in Las Vegas twice and loved it. Now I'd like to see Cirque du Soleil perform an entire show using just this version of TNK! Haunting, Ethereal, Amazing!
