Once upon a time... when there were hardly any compact digital cameras around, a few of us witnessed an electronic dance music event that would turn out to be one of the biggest and greatest outdoor festivals in the world.

True respect for tomorrowland .I cried so much after watching this video.there are not more than 300 people on the mainstage.and the people of tomorrowland have worked so hard forthe mainstage .no proper camera's nothing still they worked so hard.now in 2013 where we see the whole ground is jampacked but in 2005 it was all empty no lights were there too. but now seriously its one of the biggest outdoor music festival . I respect you tomorrowland ♥♥♥♥♥♥

There are airplanes with a Tomorrow Land banners on their fuselage. the predecessor of TomorrowLand was Mysteryland 1994, a 3 day festival on reclaimed land from the sea in the west of the Netherlands, today it has a "special" purpose build landscape. The Mysteryland '96 Eindhoven was held on a Airport and it was great. Another very best was Love parade in Berlin within excess over 1 million people. some other long runners: Mayday, Nature One.

Those first years were the best years. You could actually walk and it was not so over commercialized. Real scene people. I spinned my records there a few years. I actually did a spontaneous btb with Guetta. I hate what it has become. A show monster for the non music scène people.

You’re right. I’m from Romania and Untold Festival which first edition was in 2015 and after 4-5 years you could already see the decoration, theme things, line-ups, organisation fading away, minimalize the budget and interest more and more for profit, not for the vibe, story. This year at Untold was overcrowd, even if it had a very large number of people in the first years. Now is just a overpriced, dry and not so special festival

( ENG down ) L’édition qui à révolutionné les festivals techno electro ... et retourné la 🇧🇪 comme jamais. Quand je penses que pour cette édition ( également mais un peut moins l’année suivante si jme souviens) des milliers de tickets gratuits ont été offerts distribués partout, clubs, radio ... partenaires, ( j’ai emmené bien un 10zaine de personnes gratuitement donc avec moi, et j’avais encore des tickets à distribuer sur place , au quelques rares qui allaient payer leur entrée 😀) pour le faire connaître. A présent quand on connais la difficulté pour en trouver ... sans parler du prix ;) Et même si c’était cette édition là avec les décors de la " Mysteryland" ( grande sœur en hollande pendant de nombreuses années déjà auparavant ) de l’année précédente, c’était une vrais claque à tout point de vue, endroits, ambiance, musiques, sensations, interaction entres tout le(s) publics, et même avec les pieds dans la boue ( assez souvent ;) ) Quand on pense que en 2005 et 2006 aussi cela se déroulait sur UNE seule journée ( à peine quelques heures au camping le soir avant, et même plus certains, qu’il y avait un camping la 1ere, mais des la 2meme) je pense avec une capacité de (" seulement") 10.000 personnes ( 9000 participants) et 15.000 la 2eme. Les vrais amateurs du genre étaient la pour communier ensemble. On as vécus un moment comme historique qui ne peut pas être raconté, tellement il a été extrême en termes de sensations ( nouvelles aussi) pour la totalité d’entres nous. Si je devrais sélectionner qu’un seul moment le + puissant ... l’arrivée ( l’attente aussi) au dessus des escaliers ( en attendant l’ouverture) et découvrant au loin une partie ( images et son) de ce que nous allions vivre, avec déjà ses sensations indescriptible dans le ventre et qui allait nous procurer LE sourire que nous n’allions plus quitter ... jusqu’à la remontée des éscaliers. Et non plus comme juste un lieux ( instagramable) ou il faut dire ...j’y étais, et surtout ...être vu ( à tout prix) en mode ( fucking) drapeau ( qui emmerde tout le monde lol ) de son pays , et surtout à la cantine de la grosse soupe écœurante depuis bien trop nombreuses années déjà, qu’est ... la main stage, et même si c’est l’image représentative de la tomorow, c’est juste devenu "the place to bee" ...à touristes. ======================================== The edition that revolutionized electro techno festivals... and turned the 🇧🇪 like never before. When I think that for this edition (also but a little less the following year if I remember) thousands of free tickets were offered distributed everywhere, clubs, radio ... partners, (I took a good 10zaine people so with me for free, and I still had tickets to distribute on site, to the few who were going to pay their entrance 😀) to make it known. Now when you know how hard it is to find ... not to mention the price ;) And even if it was this edition there with the decorations of the "Mysteryland" (big sister in Holland for many years already before) of the previous year, it was a real slap in all respects, places, atmosphere , music, sensations, interaction between all the audience(s), and even with your feet in the mud (quite often ;) ) When you think that in 2005 and 2006 also it took place over ONE day (barely a few hours at the campsite the evening before, and even more certain, that there was a campsite the 1st, but from the 2nd) I think with a capacity of ("only") 10,000 people ( for 9000 visitors ;) ) and 15,000 the 2nd. True fans of the genre were there to commune together. We experienced a historic moment that cannot be told, it was so extreme in terms of sensations (new too) for all of us. If I had to select just one most powerful moment... the arrival (waiting too) above the stairs (waiting for the opening) and discovering in the distance part (images and sound) of what we were going to live, with already its indescribable feelings in the belly and which was going to give us THE smile that we were not going to leave... until the ascent of the stairs. And no longer as just a place (instagramable) where it must be said...I was there, and above all...to be seen (at all costs) in (fucking) flag mode (which pisses everyone off lol) of its country, and especially in the sickening big soup canteen for far too many years already, what is ... the main stage, and even if it is the representative image of the tomorow, it has just become "the place to bee" ...to tourists.
