They have been using the MSM to try and stop wild camping. Two reports, both bogus imho, one in Scotland and the other in the Lake district. Both obviously staged by the press. I've seen litter lift and fire scares, never three or four tents and rubbish left strewn around, like in these obvious MSM staged reports. Obviously starting the negative opinion for the stupid masses. Back to your vid, I knew one of you was coming back up for the camera lol, nice camp with excellent views. Another portion of the walk under your belt Tom.

There is a youtuber called rusty and the woodman . He does his camping in scotland and did a video recently showing the trouble they were having up there . It was heartbreaking to see the mound of crap people had left.

Thanks tom. I'm a kent man and do many of these walks with the wife and 2 teenage boys who love the outdoors. They always say if these paths could talk the story's they could tell. Thanks for sharing the history along the way. Great content, and keep em coming.

Great video Tom. I live in this part of the world and can confirm the views over Maidstone from the North Downs Way and Pilgrims Way are epic. Lovely walks are also to be had along the river Medway, river Loose and Greensand ridge are to be had too!

Cheers Tom. I got inspired by your videos and ordered a Vango Nevis 300 since the tent I got is almost 8Lb. Our Norwegian mountains are fantastic.

Haha. Bit at the end reminded me of the start of some of the Monty Python TV Show episodes. Great stuff. Bit of a damp one.

Imagine how it was for them a few hundred years back, walking from place to place in he old trails, worried about being robbed, killed, catching plagues, fining food. With all those worries on the table, I, would still give anything to have been among it all, seen the sights. I don't know if you have ever read the pillars of earth but wow, your mind will travel, then worlds without end will continue the story. Very cool your able to walk some of the same trails. Cheers Tom.

There is a footpath out. You go up the hill past the castle and then there are some dodgy steps the other side going steeply down to a stile.
