Yeah , the drums are so prominent in the recorded version and invisible here. Should have had an electronic pad for this song to get close to the sound.

Personal opinion only but I think that Hotei would sound better playing a 72 Thinline Tele with the Fender Wide Range Humbuckers. But I know he loves the Strat because of it's slim neck profile and pickup configuration most likely.
