If you read Tompall's biography, I promise you that you will come to the conclusion that he shoulda been a mega star in country music. No one ever sang a country lyric like him. Tompall and Glaser Studio STARTED the "Outlaw" movement. So, no Tompall, no Waylon either. (I mean "Waylon" as the huge Outlaw star he became) Tompall never got the recognition or credit that he earned for giving us back "hillbilly music". (fiddles, steel guitars, dobros). Hall Of Fame induction is WAY overdue for Tompall and The Glaser Brothers!! Just my 2 cents!

Does anybody know what chords he's playing in this? I see he's capoed on the 2nd fret, first chord looks like a D7, then I can't make out the second one, eventually he moves into what appears to be a C chord, & that's all I can really make out from watching it. It doesn't sound right to me though trying to play those chords back, & I'm wanting to learn to cover this song, but this version is the one in the key that l feel I can best sing in. I've looked up this song online to learn it but so many artists have covered it in so many different keys & I want to make sure I have the right one.

Put another log on the Fire. Well I was raised to do that. Anyone on Gods earth that doesn't understand how to survive, well, you're on your own. But the jest of this song is about chauvinism. I grew up in that era, know far more than I want to remember about it. Tompall was making a statement in a musical way. Loved Waylon Jennings music, but he & many other musicians have Abused their families. Those scars last.
