Sure miss both the Glaser Brothers and the Wilburn Brothers. Miss real country music too. The Glaser Brothers were from tiny Spalding Nebraska (population about 600) about 60 miles North of Grand Island. Being from the Midwest rather from the South I’ll bet they grew up on the National Barn Dance on powerful clear channel WLS out of Chicago instead of the Grand Ole Opry. Thanks for this great post.

Many thanks to all the people of the 80's and 90's and my family knows I'm big Alan fan. Glad to have the memories of seeing him 6 times and before that Merle 6 times. ❤🎉 So tickled to hear the Glaser Bros from Nebraska and know they contributed a lot that not everyone knows about. Thx. Seems like all these fellows came up poor but God gave them all this undeniable gift - genius of music!! Many thx.

WHAT GORGEOUS VOICES. I WISH THEY HAD RECORDED HUNDREDS OF MORE SONGS. ESPECIALLY COVERS OF THE BEST SONGS THAT DICK AND DEE RECORDED, PARTICULARLY THE FOLK SONGS. THAT LAST SONG WAS A BIG HIT FOR CHARLIE PRIDE.

I've lived in Nebraska for 45 years and dearly love country music, music in general. I've been listening to their story and Waylon's today. 😮 Today after hearing a lot I've come to the conclusion these guy's that write, sing and perform are perhaps bigger geniuses than other fields. They've gone through such hard things providing the rest of us music that keeps us going!!

I grew up in southwest Oklahoma, and my cousin lived way out in the country, and they always listened to this great country music. My sister did too. I’ve heard it all, and love it.. thank you Sue.

This was back when people had to know how to sing, something sadly lacking now across all music genres.
