Tom! Farm comes first! First you handle it, then you KZbin it!!! Also that way we get the whole story, not the first reactions!!! Hugs! Hugs! Hugs! I very much admire how J was handling it! I sure she was terrified! I don’t know if I could have stood there and carried on as gracefully as your wife did!!

I remember commenting on one video how he was looking stressed and putting it down to the parlour, bale milking etc. Goodness it must have been devastating at the time. Tom is such a positive young man, he's done such an incredible job bringing the farm to where it is now and coped with more obstacles than most, covid, the jump in feed, fuel and material prices, the reality of becoming a father shortly and he gets this thrown in. I have so much respect for him. I'm so glad he is having such a happy end to this year, the safe and healthy delivery for Jo of Harvey, the parlour being everything he wanted, and by the sounds of it getting a handle on the TB, he deserves it.

@trippinggauntlet4520 Very well said. This young chap has his head screwed on, and his parents have raised a very well-balanced young man. He is a credit to not just British farming but to farmers worldwide with the struggles they face on a daily basis to do all those thing and then document it all on social media is incredible ❤️

I'm not a farmer, but I have a fair understanding of how devastating TB can be (I work in the NHS). My heart just sank when I read the title of this video. Hopefully you guys are coming out the other end of this. Thank you for sharing this video as it has educated me on how the screening process works and I sincerely hope, no.... check that, I know that as a farm you will recover from this and as you say you have come through the other side.

Absolutely heartbreaking, you can see how gutted everyone was which just goes to show how much care you give to your animals. Farmers in the UK are currently fighting so many things from not getting what they are due from those they sell onto, the pure amount of red tape to get funding they've been promised and the myriad of diseases out there. I hope and pray that you're clear at the next round of testing and never apologise for anything Tom.

Sorry to hear your news Tom. We'll never forget the day we went down in a big way, 43 cows lost on our annual test. Over 2 years now, 108 cows lost. Skin tests every 60 days and 2 gamma tests later we're still not clear.

No he absolutely did the right thing by making this video. If he had tried to hide this sort of thing it would have been the wrong move. Sisters in Wellies, also recently got the dreaded TB test results.... Tragic all around 😣. But the war on TB is still a hot conflict. I grew up in the Era of mandatory yearly chest x-rays at school. I've visited a country side TB sanatorium. We never want to return to the days when those things were common-place.

I don’t think you can underestimate how useful and educational this content is. Where I live there was a huge amount of uproar regarding the Badger cull, where people didn’t grasp how serious the rise in TB is and how damaging it is. Clarksons farm touched upon it and I thought that was very useful info and now you’re educating us from a slightly different angle. I choose to eat meat, drink milk etc, part of that choice comes with a responsibility of understanding how that food gets from field to plate and all of the “not so nice” farming practices that come with it, controlling wildlife populations being one of those practices. Very much looking forward to the next two instalments. We progress far more effectively when we’re out of our comfort zone or when we’re met with exceptional circumstances, I bet you’ve come out of this as a fitter and stronger business and you’d have gained new and invaluable knowledge along the way. Step back, take stock of the last couple of years, I bet you give yourself a pat on the back 👍

It's very difficult when it happens, but there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. Hold your head up high and keep doing what you're doing. As difficult as it is, the public needs to be aware of how traumatic it can be. Never be afraid to show your emotions. We missed the store sles in the spring and had to graze silage ground .Hopefully by next spring we will be back on an even keel. The look on your face reminded me of how I felt that morning.
