In today's video we have had to make a decision... Our cows are coming in. That means we have had to move some stock around.
I tired to sneak the heifers and Angus bull in another field before the highland bull could see and it all went wrong.

46's timing with that moo, absolutely priceless! lol. She has a sense of humor. Only after watching your videos would I look at a cows butt as they're moving and go "oh, that one looks nice!' 😂 . Kind of neat to see the Bull's bulling; though (from the outside). Not something you see often, its a reminder of how powerful they are! And how much work it is to wrestle them all around. Of course they'd chose a rainy day.

Omg Tom that was a flash back to my childhood. Grandad had a similar problem. A neighboring farmers bull somehow got into grandads fields. Scary scary to see as a small child. You were very lucky

When the video and sound go flawlessly, it gives the impression that things are smooth and easy. Days when things are going wrong and with water trickling down the back of your neck, it needs a bit of wobbly sound just to create the right atmosphere of being up to your neck in muck and bullets.

from a guy who has really no less than 5 main herd bulls on this place at one time. the biggest thing to remember is if they even catch wind of each other it becomes hard to keep them apart. And if they ever get at each other the only thing you can do is watch and let them "work out their differences"

Sometime choas makes good videos but it's never always sunshine &roses on the farm and that shows viewers who don't, or have never lived/worked on a farm, what it's like from time to time. But the cows looked happy to be indoors out of that weather.Happy cows= more milk in the tank. Just don't tell them the hour goes back in less than 2 weeks time !!!!

We made a feed pusher out of a rear tractor tyre , worked like a gem , you really need a bobcat / skid steer with a yard scraper , more and more farmers are realising they are great for scraping yards , filling feeder wagons etc . One would make a great addition to your farm

we have two Bison bulls over 2500 lbs, when they bang heads you can hear it way up the valley on the high meadow. It snows here like it rains there. My grand kid says you sound like an Auctioneer when you get to talking so fast, AMAZING Tom, this guy. Thanks for sharing the fun of farming

must say this was a great video. realistic, crummy weather, cows doing their own thing, lots of mud by gates, bulls wanting to wreck all the fences to have a go at each other. Oh boy this reminds me of the time i was driving home and i live in Wisconsin lots of dairy farms. And i happen to be on the high way and saw a huge bull to my left just staring and across the highway were all the ladies. It felt weird yet so cool to see this huge male by himself just staring straight at all the girls another farm away. Would never forget. Always wondered what was on that bulls mind....but i know what was on his mind. Haha

no problem having multiple bulls on the same farm, Used to work at a farm over the summers. There we had 3 big bulls and we put them in the same pen in the barn over winter. Once they have fought to se who stands above one and another they become just normal.

Not always, Ima survivors long horn Tex battled with the bull next door (his dads) constantly. Video called Tex fights Billy (Billy poops his pants) is a good example, They moved Tex to a different property. He broke his horn and knocked Billy out cold and he still continued with his mess...lol

We had 3 large bulls, different farms. Pastured around our yard. We share property lines with 4 other properties. One Limiscene, one BramaXCharlois, one Herford. The BramaXCharlois was a gazelle-- he jumped 5' fences like they didn't exist. The Herford was more loud bellowing and activily running up and down the hill in pasture, ripping down small trees and digging huge divots out of the ground. The Limosene would smash himself into the property line corner and bellow. Snort, and try to push down fence posts. It was interesting. We sat out on our elevated porch and watched the show. Their owners were on top of the bully boys. No contact fighting, no significant damage. Just torn up sod. My kids all learned respect for bulls.
