Good point, we still have a BJ 40 without power steering ,(and we're not far away from Tom's place) but if you grew up trowing square bales a hay up into a barn every year , you'd take no notice of driving a land cruiser with no power steering taking cattle to Kilmallock mart or to the meat factory in charleville

Toyota copied the Willys Jeep thus the Landcruiser which is everything the Jeep and Landrover wanted to be but wasn’t (tough and comfortable. In the case of Landrover reliable as well). You can see Jeep everywhere in it if you look. They wanted to call it the Toyota Jeep but the Americans wouldn’t allow it. We call that model Tojos. Jeff
