That's a perfect space for a layout and excellent use of space. The passenger station is breathtaking. Thanks for the video. Inspiring.

When he built that add on, I was there, I'm a concrete truck driver. I delivered 1/3 or so of the concrete floor on the addition, as I was pouring with the contractor, I was looking around at the existing building, and something looked intriguing to me, looking at the building shape lack of windows etc... I came down to either this guy was either a car collector, or a model railroader. I asked the contractor what was I in the existing building, and he said some sorta toy train. I called it . I later intro duced myself to tom, still have his business card, said I was a modeler/ ex professional and asked if he needed any help.... It was a pleasure he gave me a short tour, and plan for the addition, its weird to see that room without the old wall. I have yet, but will give Tom a call. I wonder if he remembers me.... Ryan.

This whole thing is just too impressive for words. I can't find the right words to describe how awe-inspiring this layout is. But, I can say that I LOVE the scene at the beginning, showing a very long train station occupied by Union Pacific EMD F-units. 👉 00:01 To me, that is the most impressive scene...I LOVE F-units. I see there's a lot that still needs to be done to complete this AWESOME and enormous layout. I don't think I'll be around when it's completed. 😂

40x120? Wow! I can’t even imagine filling that. It’s incredible. I wonder how long it would take for a train to traverse the whole layout.

We have all the locomotives speed matched to 30 smph. At 30, the trains take about 35 minutes for a complete loop.

Great layout! One question: Where did Tom get the fabric used for his skirting? I'd love something like that for my railroad. (Thanks). It would be a fun railroad to operate on.

Tom's company can print on fabric. He would be happy to discuss creating skirting for you. Send me a note at geu30cg@aol.com

On a huge layout like that I’m assuming just like on a smaller one your NCE boosters are linked to each other with the comm wire? That has to be a massively long linked wire. LOL
@GEU30CG4 ай бұрын
Yes indeed grounded chassis. They can be a "tree" configuration for the grounds. Saves a little wire.

That is massive - club or private? I've working on much smaller layout and its taken 4 years to get must of the track down and some basic scenery base. That must require a lot of time or the presenter has some help?

Custom. Toms company can print on material. He designed it, company printed it, and his sew shop made it. If interested send me an email geu30cg@aol.com and I'll forward to Tom.
