This is my 2nd Keurig coffee maker of this model. kzbin.infoUgkxBrV-RbF5Nk0Rlt9i15aao-YMzqzTG8Vf The first worked fine for more than 2 years, and I could still get a decent cup of coffee out of it if I fiddled with it when I decided to replace it. The problem I had with my first unit was this: When attempting to brew a cup of coffee, the unit would either keep brewing until the coffee was undrinkable or it would not run long enough and the coffee produced was way too strong. I cleaned the unit as best I could but it did not help. So in the end it was just too much trouble to get a good cup of coffee out of it, so I decided to replace it with a new one, which has been working great since I unpacked it.

Great review of the settings. There are essentially no directions enclosed with this Keurig. I’m on my fifth Keurig over many years, and find this to be the most exasperating machine so far for logic of the interface. Thank you very much for the clear instructions!

Probably because people may forget to put a cup there and then there will be a big mess and possibly someone getting hurt from the heat. Would be nice if there was a cup indicator and they added the auto brew. For sure a work in progress

My thought is my coffee would get stale overnight, I'll admit that I am snobby with my coffee, I roast and grind mine every morning so it's always fresh and taste the same everytime.

Thanks for your easy-to- understand explanation! We had to brave the holiday shoppers yesterday when our Keurig gave up the ghost, and got this lovely model in copper after going to three stores to find an Elite. Apparently lots of folks are getting brewers for Christmas; the shelves were bare. We had to replace it ASAP since my spouse likes mild to medium brewed coffee, and I prefer a darker roast. Keurig has us so spoiled!

Agree. While the k-elite is intended to replace our 2nd 2.0, I’m not sure we’ll be keeping this thing. I’d almost rather continue to have to replace the lower assembly than deal with this. Shameful of Keurig.

No auto brew, it will just turn the machine on to get it ready to brew, you still have to hit the brew button when you are ready

@@JustADad believe it or not the dark roast from Aldi or the Sumatra from Starbucks (when it’s on sale in rite aid). I’ve tried a lot, but has to be strong. And there is a definite difference when you press the strong button. What is yours?

If you have the program set to turn the Keurig on, then it will automatically turn the Keurig on, That is all it does, it just turns it on and the internal water tank heats up so it will be ready to brew. it does not brew a k cup automatically.

Timed setting for turning off is determined when u "do the last brew" so I make a brew at 810 am & my 2nd brew around 840 am-that timer setting begins at 840am NOT 8am when I had it programmed to come on. I had missed that info-thinking it would shut off at 10 am.

yeah its a little misleading. the auto feature just turns the machine on, you still have to put a k cup in and press the brew button.
