Well i'm curious... So how could you get the correct key to the correct person if they're not associated with the owner? Also, have you heard about Equifax or 23andMe? They were safeguarding the most important and sensitive information people could have, and look at what happened.

Press the button to flip the key out, put your finger where the key sleep and pull out the plastic part covers the back of the key fob. There you will find the battery.

I have a 2016 Buick Lacrosse that is push-start. The fob does have a key embedded in the side of the fob but starting is by push button on the dash. I think the key is for valet use? So I need the replacement fob suitable for the push-start type Fob

Just bought a 2015 Chevrolet Sonic. Neither key fob that was given to me works. Both of them are in bad shape, one doesn't work at all and one will start the car but no buttons work. The other will not start the car at all. So the blades are correct but what do I need to do to program new key fobs to the existing keys (blades.) Of course the dealer told me they were easy to program but failed to mention you have to have one working key fob to program them. So I need to find someone with a scanner tool would be my only option?

Does it still work if my original key fob is faulty? The original key works okay just that the fob is messed up and the buttons dont do what they're supposed to do and im afraid the new key will get messed up in the programming process

The new key including buttons should work just like factory original settings after your program it. Sounds like your old key may have a circuit board that is wearing out.

What about 2018 Buick models? All but 1 on the list stop at 2017 but the 2018 uses the same FOB OEM Part & FCC number item. Dealership $300!
