Fabulous video, definitely the best I've seen of the Echills Wood Railway. Thanks so much Tom. I wish I didn't live 4,000 miles away !! James in Oregon

Extremely impressive Tom, track is amazing and as you say some superb locomotives. I would say by listening to your “Jinty” 36:49 on track you have the valve timing spot on, lovely beat. Thanks for taking a lot of your precious time out of a long day to film so that you can share with us what must be the premier 71/4” gauge track in the country. P.S. Sound in car outward much better, return not so good. Thanks again for great video.

Thanks, yes it does sound about right, very happy with it. Thanks for the feedback on the sound, I will keep hunting for another way of doing it, or I’ll have to give up on the idea of the video in the car.

Not that i want money or riches but if I had the money I would buy a loco to run as i dont have model engineering skills. How lovely to see these locos run through a nice scenic area. My choice of loco would be something Eastern, a B1 or better still a V2.

Does all this magnificent equipment reside here or is it taken home on trailers?

They all belong to different owners who bring them along to run.

Reminds me of the Lilliputian locomotive, car, and tender that was gifted to Japan that led to the downfall of the shogunate and samurai in the Meiji Restoration. Merchants took control of the country, and the oppressive rule of those butchers of people for power was no more. To think they called whites of the West barbarians.
