@@dan-xb4wo don´t be so sure. It´s easy to catch the basic things like with an instrument. But if you want to be really good, you need to train a lot like if you had to practice with any other instrument.

I actually got it without seeing tutorials by trying and trying different ways I remembered from beatboxers, and then saw this and now I know im doing fine! Trust me, it is not hard

@@HeathroN You just gotta carefully hum throught the middle part beetwen of your upper teeth and your lower lip and try to position your mouth just like if you are going to laugh but keeping the mentioned positions holded. Don't force your lip, it shouldn't be hardly pressured by your teeth, that way, the air (sound) is capable of getting out. Keep trying, you'll definitely get it!

@@HeathroN Also, you won't get the sound if you just use like your lungs, for this sound, you gotta utilise the existing pressure (air) inside of your mouth while humming you. (Remember that you don't have to make a lot of pressure for this, try carefully until you get the sound).

I find out how to do the trumpet sound exactly like yours (with teeth and lip) accidentally when I was 7 years old...since then I have been trolling my friends with my trumpet a lot...today I just thought to search if there are some people that are like me..i find others who do trumpet mouth but not good as mine until I find you and I subbed :)

Yes it is inwards! The air still passes over ur vocal cords exactly the same way except in reverse. And the foundation for the technique is the same. I will try and whack up a tutorial for it for sure

I remember I first heard you on the Triple J hip hop show about 13 years ago, at about midnight on a school night, laying in bed listening to my stereo on headphones so my mum wouldn't know I was still awake. You were doing a lot of the siren stuff and I was just thinking 'How the HELL is this guy making all these disturbingly electronic noises with his mouth?!' Well all these years later, now I find out. I did used to record some of those shows to cassette, maybe I've still got some around here somewhere...

I was showing a video yours to a friend of mine once and when you started to the jazz part I did along with the video the trumpet and my friend went "Where is that coming from? Are you doing as well with you mouth?" and I said "Yes!". You taught me in that video. :D Btw it's the instrument I used to play in school. I miss to play so much so now I use my mouth :)

I can't seem to understand what you mean with "Sending a hum through your upper teeth out through your bottom lip". I can't seem to make it sound like anything but a falsetto humming, with the constant sound of air passing by my lips. How much pressure do I need to use on the lips?
