Hi, try to press and hold the on button for about a minute to see if that changes anything. If not and you have a memory card in the satnav, remove it and try without. If it worked, then the card is faulty and needs formatting. In case you have no memory card or it didn't work, try to connect the device to a PC and run the MyDrive Connect software to see, if there is any update or if it goes into recovery. In case this didn't help either, then most likely the flash chip is gone on the board and that's that.

As long as you can get one from somewhere, it is similar to this, you just need to disassemble it further. The battery is under the PCB.

I have a Model 4PN60, is it the same procedure to change the screen, mine dropped & the screen cracked, thus I cant load anything up.

It should be the same or pretty much similar. The 4 must mean it is a NAV4 model, PN I suppose is the PND and 60 for the 6” screen.

Depending on your location, maybe eBay could be a good choice. If not an LCD only, maybe you could get a faulty one (that switches on, the LCD is OK, but having some other issues), to salvage the screen from that one.

What if the screen (GO 630) switches on (apparently) correctly, but it does not respond to touch-screen commands? Can it be a software problem in your opinion? Thanking you in anticipation.

Try to do a soft reset. Press and hold the ON button, until you hear a drum roll. In case it still doesn’t work, it might be a disconnected cable for the touch screen, or a faulty touch screen.

@@OCDaddyZsolt Thank you for your kind reply. I've tried that, but the GO 630 device asks for permission for the reset ... which must be granted via touchscreen. So I press the "Yes" button , but nothing happens. Device is frozen.

@@marcodepellegrin2814 It should go through a power cycle, when you keep the ON button pressed. Don’t let go, until you hear the drum roll.

There can be a number of reasons, but flex cables tend to pop out, after a fair amount of shaking.

@@OCDaddyZsolt My issue is that I broke my screen(felt down from motorcycle), I ordered a replacement, installed, and now I only get white light when power on. Will continue looking for possible fix.

Which model do you have exactly? Some of the Tomtom devices have a mount that you can turn around and then it won't be upside down any longer.

@@miamiSincar In general, the Tomtom devices are good quality. But of course, faults can happen to any brand.
