Tomy Omnibot 5402, my journey bringing this Robot back to functionality

An early 80's Omnibot that arrived in good shape but non functional. Hopefully this helps if you are in the process of restoring yours. I spent too much time explaining various things, going into depth remaking battery terminals as well as lubricating the gears in the drive unit. Thanks for linking & mentioning my vid! I liked how you fixed the battery contacts, I need to do the same. I found a pair of 80s purple label Radio Shack nickel cadmiums in mine lol, all my contacts were wrecked. I used spring contacts out of another tray:)

Those Purple Ni-cads are so old you could almost carbon date them! I like your solution for the battery terminals the route you go just depends on what you have around. Thank you appreciating what I have done, Nice to see you here and thank you for commenting!
