I love how despite the size there’s still plenty of space on the layout for more expansions. Like a coaling plant, Maybe a turn table and some sheds. And perhaps a shunting yard with extra rolling stock.

1:08 Otherwise known as Sir Topham Hatt's house from a certain video series called TOMICA Thomas & Friends... :-P Honestly, I love those little house buildings so much. TOMY released a few different variants over the course of a decade or so. Thankfully they aren't too difficult to come by on eBay... although the matter of shipping is entirely subjectable as you pointed out later in the review. Which is frustrating as an American. I see so many listings of TTTE items outside of the USA at far fairer prices, but the shipping easily doubles or triples the original amount you were going to pay.

Me too, the twins weren't featured enough in Tomy sets. Giant Thomas was my first Thomas set ever in 2000

I don’t know if I remember seeing a 1/6 joint rail in this set thats shorter than a regular 1/4 adapter rail. See more ⬇️ 1/6 joint rail is useful if the rail cannot fit a 1/4 gap rail.

I'm so mad because there was a bulk lot listed on FB Marketplace a month back and it included a mint Tomy Douglas for $120, I just missed it too, she sold it earlier that day. I'm still mad because I know it will be ages before another one comes up, and that cheap too...

Marvelous Machinery has a reference to Thomas and the Jet Engine which stopped it that time instead of stopping on its own. Emily Saves the World has a call back to Thomas and the Jet Engine as one of the five.

I remember those kids played this set like yours on youtuber in late 2000s. Unfortunately, youtuber’s account had been deleted long years ago. I think your engines need replace motors and clean because those are old.
