These are words from my heart. Thank you, Martyn, for your videos. They are great! I can heartily endorse these recommendations from my own experience. There have been several occasions over the past few years when I have had to go back and rework older projects (e.g. preparing film scores for audio release), and I have been very grateful to have a multitrack version as you describe here, as it has made the job so much easier in the end.

Yeah, there's a reason why this was the first subject. Easy to do and so important!

Love the content! Can you clarify what you mean when you say we shouldn't have reverbs as inserts? Do you mean that we should have reverbs on send always? Even if it's a very dry reverb on a "out-of-focus" track?

Yes, sends are almost always better

Hey Martyn, love the series so far! Excellent information in a clear and concise manner, well done 👏 Would you be able to do a video on your mixing template or the philosophy behind your digital signal path? Particularly interested in the setup you would use to print multi tracks/stems and the final 2 track mix in real time (if that is indeed how you render your final tracks). Also as someone who recently moved to Germany from Australia I would love to hear any advice you might have on getting my foot in the door at a studio like yours or starting remote work in the industry. Thanks!

Thanks very much Nick! Re printing, what I'm refering to here is a pre mix export, not stems. For getting into remote work I would say word of mouth is king. Just do some work for anyone, if it helps them, they will notice.

@@martynheynemusic thanks! I totally get what you're explaining in this video. I was wondering what your workflow is in the final stage of a mix when printing your final mixed tracks, cheers.
