This is beautiful! Some said American tonalism was born out of French impressionist movement. I really like the subtleness and emotional-evoking aspect of tonalist paintings and I have tried to do it myself but not been successfully. Please explore more of it if possible? Thank you so much! 😊

Yes, it would be very interesting and helpful to see videos about values and your impressionist palette. Watching how you mix colours to achieve harmony and atmospheric perspective would also be very valuable.

Like the painting and about a half hour is about right. I did sign up for a course as a beginner on composition. Composing a painting with pencil. Will start next week with our own pictures. The photo that had the best competition is similar to this with a narrow value range. I think this and many of your paintings are good technique videos. Want simple paintings. like seeing the adding of highlights.
