That goes into the right direction but I guess the exact same look is hardly achievable with Lightroom only. The pastel tones and the hue in the shadows are probably created with a solid color layer with blend mode exclude and a low opacity. Everything else can be done with curves only.

In camera, O believe I have them turned on. In Lightroom, depends. I toggle them on and off to see the which outcome I like most. Sometimes Lr over corrects pincushion distortion and I don't like it.

Dear Tony! Can I ask you something? Please do tutorials like this about Aaron Brimhall and Kai Boet's new colors...
@ToneFuentes4 жыл бұрын
I do admire Aaron Bramhall, but first I have to find someone that let's me borrow his or her cool car o motorbike 😅. Maybe in the future. For Kai Boet, I'm not so sure he has a trademark style. He varies a lot from his recent posts to older ones. I say this by just a quick glance through his profile. I might take a longer look and who knows. But in the meantime, check out this video I made on giving your photos an analog style. I think it has a lot of the bases on what Boet does: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gpSwlqVra7yBoac

Can u make preset tones like monaris but with outdoor photo at daylight and flat color.... I try to edit photo like monaris but with something like that its so difficult
@ToneFuentes4 жыл бұрын
In this video I did edit some photos outdoor at daytime (in an overcast day, I might add). If you check out her profile, she doesn't really take photos at midday, sunny days with harsh sunlight. In order to mimic her style and any other photographer, you have to snap the shots in a very similar manner as they do. The same camera settings, the same weather, lighting and time of day. So that's exactly what this video is about. To make a video of "Edit like Monaris at daytime" it just wouldn't be Monaris's style anymore, it would be something else. Try, before adding the preset or any of the values of the tutorial, to make the exposure of the image match the lighting situation of her style (cloudy day, golden hour or nightime). After that, then apply the colorgrading and I think you can achieve the results you want. Cheers.

Beautifully made to the point tutorial man! Can these values be replicated in Premiere too?
@ToneFuentes3 жыл бұрын
Sure. Give it a go. The only thing that is missing in Lumetri Color is the Camera Calibration tools. But you can make due with the curves.
@PaulliMr3 жыл бұрын
It's good tutorial, but it would be better if you don't prepare all the settings up ahead. "We gonna go with -11" is not saying anything, what would actually help is seeing you trying to figure it out, not just showing wha settings to use for one specific photo. :)

1600s 1600iso, your settings are the problem in your lack of quality not your gear.
@ToneFuentes4 жыл бұрын
Well, I have a APS-C camera. Not as much light comes into the sensor as on an A7r III. I had to crank up the ISO to compensate. In full frame, 1600 ISO isn't a problem and the noise is barely noticable. Having said that, if in those situations where I shot those photos, I had a Full-Frame sensor, I wouldn't have to use ISO so high. It's not about the gear, but at the same time it is.
@ToneFuentes4 жыл бұрын
P.s. when I'm talking about the quality of her images, I'm referring to the sharpness, the smooth bokeh, and overall, for those factors, a more expensive lens, like the ones she shoots with, guarantee better sharpness and better subject isolation. Better quality. If you don't believe me, go and look at the MTF charts of the Sony GM, comparing to my Sigma 30mm DCDN (where at simple eye, you can see the color fringing and chromatic aberration shooting at 1.4).
@petecasta95444 жыл бұрын
@@ToneFuentes all you had to do is lower your speed, and you could drop your iso and gain quality, no one is moving so fast that you got to shoot 1/1600, you could easily be around 1/400ish and drop your iso.
@ToneFuentes4 жыл бұрын
Depends on the shot. The ones I took on Shibuya Corssing, people where moving quite fast and so was I. In a lot of cases, you are right. I could have taken a bit more time to prepare the shot. But at the moment, I wasn't really paying too much attention to that, rather than trying to capture the precise moment. Anyway. The ISO isn't my problem and I never said anything about my ISO settings, the problem is that the lenses I have don't have the quuality end product as hers. That is what I was talking about. Sharpness, Contrast, No chromatic aberration, vignetting and distortion. That's what I was referring to.
@petecasta95444 жыл бұрын
@@ToneFuentes all I’m saying is that you can improve your quality regardless of her gear. I got the same gear as her and also some less modern gear that I use for various reasons, & it’s not everyday that you see the difference on Instagram, cause of compression, and size.
