The 5th gear (the resetter gear), is it provided within the box when you first buy the printer?

The cartridge that ships free with the printer is called a starter cartridge. It does not have the reset gear and has a different outer cover. You can turn the starter cartridge into a regular cartridge by adding the gear and changing the cover. We sell these online for £2.00 exc vat and delivery. www.zinetic.co.uk/tn_1050-list.aspx You only need one gear per starter cartridge as they can be reused.

must you reset cog, can't you just press power button 7 times once the drum is inside to reset?

+John Turner hi there, we found that you could reset via the power button the first time you refilled. on the next refills we did we found that you had to reset the gear.

+Rohan Mittal Hi there, this means that who ever refilled the cartridge did not reset the gear properly. if the gear is reset into the correct position then the printer will accept the cartridge as full.
