Good video as always.. but through my Genelec monitors it sounds waaaaay too distorted with a high-end fizz. I think both would benefit with a bit less gain and tamed treble and presence.

The real winner here is the Crate Blue Voodoo 60 watt tube amp head and matching 4+12 cab. You can pick the Voodoo head/cab for well under a grand. The other real winner here is Pork Butts. Using either a pellet smoker or a traditional offset charcoal/wood smoker and 14 hrs for a 14PD butt, you are golden with amazing bark. It should also be noted that John Petrucci carries a Pellet Smoker in his beard while on tour. During days off he pulls the full sized smoker out of his beard and cooks for the road crew. He also carries his entire backup rig in his beard as well. By carrying these things inside his beard, he saves money on "checked Bags" while at the airport. He also carries his wifes clothes, makeup bag, laptop and feminine products in his beard as well as the previously mentioned gear. People often ask me how I have so much "behind the scenes" info on top touring bands and I tell them that I love cooking stir fry at home. The bands contact me while I cook stir fry. Easy Peasy.

The Mezz ch2 vs R7 Lev Ch1, I rated the mezz the better amp on its own, but the R7 way ahead in the mix. The Mezz was a bit more scooped than the R7 and the biting top end of the Mezz gets a little lost in the drum cymbals. The R7 sat right in that sweet spot from lower to upper mids. It has a less aggressive but more resonant gain structure as well. Has a sonorous quality.

@@TheCyberMantis thats ok they both lack the punch of a wall hitting you at 120 mph with out the slickness of George lynch I am looking for wet dry wet set up so far I got EVH el34 with two fender mustangs sounds cool but I wouldn’t use the mustang on stage I was thinking two EVH iconic 80 watts going through 4x12 cabinets so the el34 100watt for dry and the two iconic 80 for the wet stereo live and louder then Robert plant in his glory days
