The learning curve seems pretty steep with lots of combinations to memorise, but I imagine after a while you'd figure out what features you need to access and what you don't. That’s perfect. After using the big one I decided that it was bigger than the couple pedals and amp sim that I’d mainly use it for. Plus programming a plethora of tones into presets within my midi controller became cumbersome. So at some point I decided I just wanted to profile my amp and stick it under my board. It was too big. So I sold it and got a Walrus ACS1. Now that this has come out I’m gonna definitely swap. Although the ACS1 sounds great I know I’ll be able to get what I want with the profiling also as a bonus I’ll probably make money selling the walrus after I buy this.

Awesome video man. The only improvement that I would surely welcome is a gate with downward extention multiband denoising- like the Bertom denoiser. Some of the high-gain Tone models are quiet with the current gate when not playing, but tend to allow a lot of noise and hiss through while playing. I've found the Bertom denoiser ridiculously helpful for in DAW studio recording, but when I play live with Tonex pedal I find room for improvement. Helix has a better gate imo. Outside of this aspect, Tonex is king!

NAM is obviously a hassle compared to Tonex but it does a much better job of reproducing high gain. u can tool around forever making captures with either but unless u have a great SM57 etc and are a genius at micing up then u will NEVER capture something that makes u happy. there is just so much missing doing preamp captures and using IRs. im a metalhead and for amp sims ive tried nearly all but i cant go past Tonality Josh Middleton. bottom line just get a great amp, crank it up, have fun, get creative and dont waste time with this tone capture BS!
